AC Youth: Germans are back in the Game
Image Balasz Gardi. When I read from many sources and even officially mentioned in a press conference that the German kids were out, it felt somehow a strange situation. Later on it seems the GER sailing Fed were the ones backing off and not the sailors…
A group of talented young sailors missing an incredible opportunity in their pocket due to some suit guys was a truly bad situation for the them.
But they are back and they’ll race the 45s at San Francisco, and I’m glad for them.

Yeah, this is really great!
After being abandoned by the "sailing-team-germany" due to
"German Angst" the guys made an incredible effort to raise
the money.
They founded the "All In Racing"-Team, toured all Germany and
even posed topless because they gave
their last shirt
(German saying).

And with the help of over one hundred individuals and companies
they were able to raise the money.

important role in bringing this matter to the "masses" and to raise
the money.
Lets hope sailing (especially catamaran sailing) gets a some
more public interest in Germany as it currently only ekes out
a niche existence in the media.
