Hobie Europeans 2012: Day 3

Report by Lamberto Cesari

Tiger/Wildcat Fleet: Two days of good sailing, 6 races in medium-strong wind (yesterday from 12 to 18-20kt, today always 20-22kt), with waves and current. We are performing very well with 2-1-1-1-1-1.
Is impressive how fast Carlo is learning helming the Wild Cat (first race for him as a skipper), especially surfing the waves downwind: Laser is still one of the best sailing school…but cat is definitely more fun! Behind us nice fight between Morvan-Rossolin, the locals Le Bayon-Istasses and the germans Gosche-Pegel.

In the Hobie 16 1st the german Goritz-Wichard, 2nd Martin-Hilliard, 3rd Francesco Porro and Luca Marsaglia, youth euro champion hc16 spi last year and bronze medallist at the ISAF Youth 2009 are in 3rd position in the Gold Fleet, same points of the second…keep on italians!
Also a bullet ror Mitch with his son Ruben

Note: LeGal-Dinsdale asked for redress because of damaged hull.
