  1. Question from F18 EC:
At the control check I weighed in the boat with out correction weights (4 kg) and the boat was found to be 180.7 dry unsoiled, so ok. they then looked at my measure cert and I had to put on 4 kg if I wanted to participate. So now I was at 184.7

Other boats that just came in from water weighed in just below. no mentioning of weights in their cert and found to be to light. They put on a kg or 2 and was then ok to go.

Asked the measurement chief if he could change this but was told that I had to remeasure my boat and make a new certificate and that he was not allowed to do this under the the regatta. I then asked how he could put weights on boats but he's answer was that , that is how it works. To me this is a asymmetrical answer but I did not get a better one. I put the weights on , a bit disappointed and went racing believing that my boat was 5-6 kg heavier then others.

My question now is how this is possible.
I was not allowed to take weight off but others was allowed to put weight on: is that really how it is supposed to work ????
